The International Federation of Catholic Universities (Federación Internacional de Universidades Católicas; Fédération Internationale des Universités Catholiques) is an international association founded in 1948 under decree by the Holy See and based in Paris, France.
This association is made up of Catholic universities recognized by the Holy See, and aims to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and to building a fairer and more humane world. In order to achieve this, the FIUC seeks to promote collective reflection and effective cooperation among Catholic institutions of higher education around the world. The Federation also represents Catholic universities before international organizations and associations, working in collaboration these such entities.
Finally, it aims to contribute to the development of Catholic higher education, specifically in relation to the quality and scope of universities’ work and to the establishment of institutions in diverse countries and regions.
