The fundamental mission of the General Direction of Pastoral Care and Christian Culture is to cultivate Christian culture within the university and the region. This unit shapes the identity of the university community as a whole, and is open to all creeds and schools of thought, with a strong emphasis on social service.
To become a leading unit and an agent of change both within and outside of the university, and to guide the members of the institution in matters of belonging, participation, social service and the laity.
To contribute to the complete development of individuals, promoting the values of the Gospel.
To promote dialogue between faith and culture among academics, support staff and students of the institution.
To support academics, staff and students in integrating their faith into their life and in working alongside the Church community.
To create within the university a culture of solidarity and service towards those most in need.
