General Description
The Master’s of Mining Management (MGM), a program delivered at the heart of the global copper mining industry, provides training to high-potential professionals seeking to develop the skills and competencies needed to strengthen management in the mining industry. The MGM is a full-time postgraduate program with a professional orientation and the following distinguishing characteristics:
• Academic faculty made up of professionals with a broad range of national and international experience.
• Participation of mining industry CEOs.
• Classes delivered every other weekend.
• Thesis included in curriculum.
• Certification of English at level ALTE2 (intermediate).
• University atmosphere.
• Personalized seminars.
Objective
The objective of the program is to develop competencies in mining industry professionals, enabling them to manage national and international entities, organizing and leading working teams, administrating processes of change and innovation, maximizing the value of these.
Candidate Profile
The program is aimed at professionals with three years of experience in the mining industry. Candidates should hold a professional or academic degree from a program of at least 8 semesters in length, awarded by an institution of higher education.
Plan of Studies
The program receives academic support from:

- SERNAGEOMIN
- University of Queensland-UCN English Language Institute (ELI).
- Sustainable Minerals Institute (SMI). Prerequisites Requirements for admission to the program are:
- Undergraduate degree awarded by an Institution of Higher Education. • 3 years of experience in the mining industry.
- Basic knowledge of English
