Fulbright

The Commission for Educational Exchange between Chile and the United States of America was created via an agreement between the governments of both countries on March 31st 1955. The Commission aims to establish a series of programs in order to promote mutual understanding between the people of Chile and the United States of America through educational, scientific, technical and professional exchanges.

In recognition of the mutual benefit derived from the Commission’s activities and the desire of both countries to cooperate on the funding and management of programs to reinforce bilateral relations, a new agreement was signed on February 26th 1997, creating a new bilateral commission known as the Commission for Educational Exchange between Chile and the United States of America, or the Fulbright Commission.
