Description

La Universidad Católica del Norte Master’s Program in Business Sciences is an academic plan designed to shape researchers who will contribute to the production of new knowledge in the field of Business Sciences.

Through this program, the School of Business Sciences will educate graduates and give them the opportunity to examine the discipline, delving into quantitative methodologies. The program has three primary objectives: the first is the creation of solid methodology and research skills, the second is the development of theoretical Business Science insight, and the third is the combination of the two previously mentioned points through a research project.

Program Objectives

The Master’s Program in Business Sciences aims to contribute to the scientific development of professionals in business, with rigorous academic studies and system based approaches, the objective of this program is to understand and explore applied science in organizations.

Aimed at

This program is aimed at graduates or professional with a university equivalent of 8 semesters in the area of Administration and/or engineering who are interested making a professional impact and having a role in scientific development of companies.

Plan of Studies

The program is composed of twelve courses, four of them are Thesis seminars and three are based on methodological frameworks and the experimental design of their thesis project.

The remaining five courses complement the theoretical approaches to Business Sciences, so that the student will be able to clearly propose a research issue and formulate a coherent theoretical framework for their theses project.

During the Thesis Seminars I, II, III and IV the student will develop a Master’s Thesis, an original Business Sciences research project. The Thesis Seminar II will culminate in a working document that raises issues and resolutions in a clear and thorough research topic.

The Thesis Seminar IV will culminate with an improved version of the previous document in a scientific journal format. The final version of the research project is Master’s Thesis, in which the student must defend their work publicly in front of the Degree Commission.

During the class Thesis Seminar III, the student will participate in a symposium called “Research Ethics”, which will educate them on the values associated with Educational Projects at UCN.

1st Year Enrollment Fee  $4.630.000- (CLP)
Total Program Fees:  $9.260.000.- (CLP)
Observations: Program fee does not include general fees or cost of academic diploma.
